maylands - abandoned house i found cool video tapes
there was a beautiful abandoned house on george st where i found a cool flannel shirt and a couple dozen vhs tapes. laurent helped me carry them home.
most of the tapes were just recorded episodes of dancing with the stars, but one of the tapes had anthropological value:
it was a home movie of the house owner's trip to new norcia and kalbarri. i edited it into a music video, and in the opening shots, you can see very rare footage of 1990s maylands along guildford rd, featuring the lost Cascades tavern.
