maylands - leo's
an old fashioned pizza place that hasn't changed its decor since the 1980s. they still have the red checkered table cloths and artistic chalk-drawings of their menu items.
i have been told that the food here is extremely average, maybe even bad. still, i love leos for its cartoon lion who is simultaneously eating pizza, spaghetti, fried chicken and wine. this lion is the hero of maylands.
one of the cooks here owns an AC/DC themed car. the cook is also ac/dc themed. his hat, his hoodie, his trackpants, his thongs. all ac/dc.
one time at the bottle and can facility, i got talking with him about his car. he popped the boot, and like a music-box, highway to hell began playing on a record player in his boot. the cook began to play enthusiastic air guitar until his gf got back from recycling the cans and off they went into the night.
i regret to say that the cook has since sold his car.
