the barber
this is the barber who chops my hair. it used to be a vietnamese woman but it is a young persian man with glasses. everything in the barber is covered in gold.
the laundromat
i sometimes go here to dry my clothes. on a rainy day it is a very pleasant time. i love to sit in the laundromat. it is like being in hospital. theres no where else you need to be so its prime opportunity to sit down, relax and read a book.
the sushi place
this place makes sushi that is never very appetising or good. it is always sticky.
the newsagent
i dont know who still buys magazines but i like that they have a box of unsold Mojo magazine cds, $2 a disc. it is here i got a really good college rock compilation that featured my new favourite song, all for the best by miracle legion.
i also saw this funny notice on the door:
the chemist
back when i had a healthcare card, i could buy my medication for very cheap. there was a chemist who would smile at me. then my card ran out and my medication became expensive and we became hostile.
the iga
an iga that is dimly lit and low-desire. i buy a single chocolate bar from there every day. milky way kit kat if on special, otherwise dream. i used to buy cigarettes here but now i am just addicted to sugar.
