you might think that the creek at berringa park comes out of nowhere but it actually comes out of a drain but the drain is all locked up.
it used to be unlocked. my historian friend recalls his childhood when he and fellow children would crawl into the drain, a four-metre wide pipe and they would crawl for a couple kilometres until they could hear the traffic above them on guildford road and further along, the trains.
the underground creek now runs all the way from lake monger to berringa park near my house which is a very long way.
they need to unlock the drain and let me and my friends have a turn.
