my friend laurent lived in this sharehouse for a couple years with a rotating cast of Chill Dudes.
- haibin the chillest dude was a hawaiian man named Haibin. he had a stardew valley routine. every morning he would wake at 8am already dressed. he would go to the fridge, his shelf always being empty except for a single glass of chilled water. atop the fridge was a 2 kilogram bag of jolly rancher hard candy. he would unwrap a red one, place it on his tongue, and then swallow it with the glass of water. he would take the glass to the bathroom and finish the rest of the cold water in the shower. he would stay in the shower for as long as it took him to drink the water. then he would turn the shower head to cold and stay in the freezing water until his glass was filled up again. then he would walk into the kitchen and place the glass back into the fridge, ready for another drink tomorrow.
after this, haibin would get dressed and catch the train somewhere, to where, nobody knows. then at 6pm, he would arrive home, heat up some betty crocker sticky date pudding, make a big plate with some cold custard and retire to the bedroom.
i know all this information from my friend laurent, who has told me haibin's routine on so many occasions.

the house had no furniture except for a tv, dvd player, and a framed lenticular portrait of the pope who seemed to follow you wherever you went in the room. there was also a rat problem.
the house had several house parties a year, but i don't remember enjoying them. i was having too many romantic troubles in these years. think of all the time we waste on love. ah well.
